On location in the California countryside

A few weeks ago a work commitment meant I was not going to be able to give my young daughter the attention she needs during the day and I would need to focus 100% on this task.  My wife is in a very high pressure job and as a result is usually more absorbed in work commitments than me and so we have managed in these COVID times with me doing the majority of the care during the day.  So the only way my wife could be able to have the time to take over care was for her to take some time off.  We decided then that it wasn’t fair for her to have to take vacation time without a vacation and we hatched a plan to change my “working from home” to “working from vacation rental”.

We rented a place just an hour from home in a little private vineyard.  This was a great location and it was irresistible not to take advantage of the beautiful and rustic scenery to take photographs of our daughter and other things.

We are very happy to have a happy little girl that likes playing our games

My wife loves to dress our little girl in the best dresses, matched to the location and season for me to capture and she planned well bringing an array outfits for the occasion.

I didn’t like the background on this so changed it to a sepia style as I thought the dress worked for that

So these are our favorite shots of her from the trip and I will do a second  follow up post of other images I captured.

Love the way this came out
A lucky smile on this as she was tired and didn’t want to model for us this time
Probably my favourite of all
