Funny Things ‘D’ says…

This is a potential irregular series that hopefully will bring a smile to your face.

My three year-old has quite a character and has a lot to say; as she works out the world she sometimes says things that are unexpected.

While driving home from school recently and listening to the radio D says “it’s Moana!”

Now D is a Disney baby and Moana is one of her favourite movies so she is always on the look (or listen) out for Disney references.

But the Radio was playing R.E.M.

“No” I said “that’s not Moana”

She insisted while R.E.M’s ‘The One I live’ continued to play.

“There!” she said, “He’s saying Moana Love”

I listened again and indeed, if you tilt your mind slightly in the way of a three year old you can hear Michael Stipe singing;

This one goes out to Moana Love” and even “This one goes out to Moana left behind

I’ve heard it and now probably won’t unhear it – sorry if that ruins the song for you; welcome to my world.
