Prominent stands out

Earlier this year I was in a quandary about a Canon 7 rangefinder I had purchased. It was a fine camera and worked very well but it didn’t quite spark a light.. I liked it and had yearned for one for a while but I didn’t really need it. I wrote about it here on my other blog. To help with my thought process decided to take my Prominent out and see if that settled things.

It helped a lot and I was reminded about how much I like the Prominent; it really is a great rangefinder and mine is in great shape.

It took a while to finish the rill and get the scans back but here are some favorite from the roll which are a mixed bag and are only linked by the camera that shot it.

No this isn’t a slot canyon from Antelope Canyon, its bluffs near the beach in San Clemente California
I kind of liked this view of the Apartments sitting on top of the bluffs near a beach in California
Abstract Architecture is a favourite subject for me; this building is near to my dentist and I’ve always liked how the shadows cross the windows in full sun
I like how the lines interact with the building and yet it’s almost like two separate images with no relationship
Okay this image is a bit weird; the more I look at it the more it seems to move… I can’t stop looking

  1. I’ve found myself notice shadows and lines on buildings and walls a lot more recently, abstract architecture is definitely an intriguing subject. And the last picture, it did move. 😁

    • I like the geometry along with the shadows; it something I keep returning to. Thanks for commenting and I’m glad I’m not the only one seeing still images move 🙂
